There are times that we often want to embark on something new, but all that is left is to overcome that negative mentality that has been plaguing you over that situation. As we should all be aware; life hands us opportunities on a regular basis. It is how we handle these opportunities that determines how successful we become. As such, a wrong or negative mindset can rob you of a lot of good and as a boss babe, you don’t want this to happen. And if you do, girl get your mind right!
In this post, I will share with you 5 tips to create a shift in your mindset. That is assuming you have a negative or stagnant one, but if your mindset is already positive, girl keep it going! You can then read this tips as five more ways to cultivate a positive mind set.

Focus on the good, no matter how small: It is inevitable that bad things will happen. Someone will get sick, an investment will be lost, in short, shit will happen. It is up to you to focus on the good things if you want to develop a mind-set that is right. This won’t just do the magic for your mind-set, it will also do a lot of good for your mental health. You cannot overcome all the bad things that happens in the world if you allow yourself to get stuck in the viscous cycle.
Turn failures into lessons: It is not just enough to find the good in the multitude of bad situations, you must also learn to turn the failures into lessons. Your husband is giving you a hard time, why not create a bucket list towards being a better wife or finding a better husband (KIDDING, or am I) . Get the logic? So rather than feeling sorry for yourself, you channel the energy into something positive.
Practice affirmation: A lot of people misconstrue affirmation as some spiritual voodoo or whatnot. Affirmation is simply saying words to yourself. The words we speak are powerful, and affirmation only derives its power from that source. For a right mindset, you would want to affirm how you want the day to go for you in the morning. It does not only prepare you for the day, it empowers you for it. Affirmation grills the right mind set into you. You must manifest the life that you want and speak it into existence.
Focus on the present: Another thing that derails a positive mindset is worry. One thing I have come to find out is that you can’t worry about the present, it requires only action. If you can only focus on the present, you would worry less and develop a positive mindset.
Stay around positive people: You don’t want to spend your day with people who believes that everything is up to no good. You should run away from a company like that, it will do you no good. Stray away from gossip and small talk, find others with like minds and hold deep conversations that leave you feeling hopeful and excited. You are the company that you keep!
